What does Like Ludlow provide?
Like Ludlow has been created to answer the big question – What’s Going On in Ludlow?
Like Ludlow is an online site created for both residents and visitors to discover events and activities happening in and around Ludlow. And most of the services provided by Like Ludlow are absolutely free.
There is so much cultural life in and around Ludlow. Festivals, concerts, cinema, food. Does any other town in England have a venue better than Ludlow Assembly Rooms? – Ludlow Assembly Rooms – Leading arts venue for music, film, theatre & live events. Then there is the Regal at Tenbury Wells Regal Tenbury, and Mid Border Arts at Presteigne Mid Border Arts. And international acts at the Castle Events | Ludlow Castle and at the Church Music – St Laurence at Ludlow. Plus Ludlow must have one of the best U3A organisations in the country – Welcome. And every village around has its own choir, pub quiz, live music and community events.
Most organisations have their own website. But actually, that is part of the problem. How can we manage to keep up with everything? Like Ludlow provides the perfect solution.
Like Ludlow has created one site where all event information can be stored and found.
Like Ludlow Events Calendar
It begins with an Events Calendar dedicated to the Ludlow area. The Events Calendar provides a one stop site which lists everything which is going on in and around Ludlow.
And the Like Ludlow Events Calendar is completely free. Free to all users, be they residents or visitors. No need to register. No forms to fill in. Just go to https://LikeLudlow.com on your phone or desktop and start to browse.
And the Events Calendar is not only free to users. All local venues can advertise their own events for free. Like Ludlow integrates all events into the Events Calendar so that users can search by date or topic. And the Calendar provides links back to the venues so that users can book tickets themselves.
Open and Free to Community Groups
The free promotion provided by the Like Ludlow Events Calendar is not restricted to the big venues. Any Community Group that has a public event – a choir, a forest run, a blues night, whatever, can submit their own event details for free and we can add them to our Calendar. We can even provide an online ticket reservation service to Community groups on request. Just go to the Community page and provide your details.
Clubs and Activities
Like Ludlow also decided to extend its reach to Clubs and Activities in the Ludlow region. We have created a free to use section for
- athletics and sports clubs generally
- choirs and musical groups
- chess, bridge, poker, scrabble and similar clubs
- scouts, guides, sailing, fishing, country sports
- any other activities which are moderated to be compatible with our community focus
Clubs can use our service for free to advertise for new members and to promote their activities. Just fill in your details and we will moderate your application within a couple of days.
Service Providers
Most of what Like Ludlow provides is free. But we also operate like an online parish magazine, providing advertising space to local tradesmen and service providers. If you want to find a plumber, an accountant, a yoga instructor, whatever trade or skill you need, then look through our Services section. We provide the opportunity for service providers to advertise at the keenest possible prices.
Advertising
In time, we also plan to accept advertising from selected local businesses, but first we need to build our readership and make Like Ludlow a regular place for people to check in and review the week’s events. As a young business, we still have a way to go, but we hope that you will enjoy the journey with us.
Contact Like Ludlow
We are not a full time business and we have no employees. We don’t man the phone lines, so the best way to contact us is by email – info@likeludlow.com. We will always try to reply within 2 working days.
You don’t need to pay to join Like Ludlow. For free you can discover the events and activities around Ludlow. But if you would like to sign up to our monthly newsletter, we will keep you in touch. We will never sell your details to others, and you can cancel the newsletter any time.
